Before we get started I have listed a few survival tips to help your party run smoother:

First, make sure you select games you think your child will love and pick some back-ups, just in case. Next, setup a schedule of events before the party on which games will be played, what order and a time limit. Finally, don’t forget the “fun” factor in the party. Not every child is going to win every event, so make sure each event is designed to be “fun”, “loud” and “enjoyable”.

Hopefully these tips will help reduce your party stress and allow you to enjoy the party. So have fun at the Ultimate Party!

* Asteroid Hunt: Purchase small treats or gifts and wrap them in aluminum foil. Hide them in a sandbox, around the house or in the yard. At the party, let the children dig in the sand, or search throughout your “planet” to find their moon rocks.” They will love the excitement of opening their rocks and finding treasures!

* Star Wars Badges: Get your guests in the spirit of the latest Star Wars saga with this fun craft project. Before the party, cut out badges from construction paper. Provide the kids with Star Wars stickers, extra paper, glue, scissors, glitter, markers, crayons, magazine pictures, etc., and encourage creative expression. During the party, hand out extra badges as favors while playing games. When giving out the badges, honor the kids with special awards, i.e., Best Yoda Impression, Best Team Player, Most Infectious Giggle, or Biggest Smile.

* Light Saber Training Course: Before the party make some light sabers with foam pipe insulation or skinny swimming "noodles". Wrap 4-6 inches from the end with colored electrical tape to make a handle. One red, one black, blue etc. To play, divide the kids into teams to go through a challenge course. Each team will get one "Light Saber". Create tasks for each potential Jedi to accomplish (not too hard) with the light saber in hand. For example: Hit ping pong balls with the light saber, Crawl under a chair tunnel, go down a slide, Roll under a tarp, Pop bubbles with the light saber -- you get the idea.

* Holocam Guess: In this game, played like charades, kids take turns appearing as if delivering a message through a Holocam that’s lost its sound capacity. (A Holocam records holographic images that enable Star Wars characters to send visual messages to each other.) Each player writes down a chosen Star Wars character and then acts it out, making movements and sounds (but no words). The rest of the kids then guess who the player is. (Before the game begins, ask the kids if they’d like to include characters from all the Star Wars films or limit them to the Episode III movie.)

* Jedi vs. the Sith: First, choose 1 or more kids to be Jedi Knights. Everyone else is a Sith. When the caller shouts “May The Force be with you!” the Jedi try to catch the Sith. Those who are caught go to a designated area called “Sith Prison.” They must then stand perfectly still, with legs straddled, until freed by another Sith. To be rescued, 1 of their Sith cohorts needs to crawl between their legs. The game ends when everyone’s been caught or when it seems like a good time to switch players.

* Pass the Death Star: This game is similar to hot potato, except you use a ball that has balls inside so it looks like an exploding space station (if you use your imagination) and use the music from Star Wars.

* Star Wars Coloring Pages: Give each guest an activity booklet with coloring pages to do either at your party or to take home in a goody bad. Check out our Ultimate Star Wars Child Games Coloring Pages. A perfect activity to calm the children down and an ultimate birthday game for your party!

* Light Saber Hunt: Start by purchasing glow bracelets at a dollar store (the ones that glow if you crack them), and if you leave the bracelets open, they look like light sabers. Connect two together to make a double light saber, like Darth Maul's, and the person who finds that one receives a prize.

* Who am I?: First, as each child arrives attach a picture of a Star Wars character on their back. They must go around and ask other guests questions about their character. Once they guess their character correctly, you can award them with a prize.

* Meteor Shower: Before the party, fill up balloons with air and prizes. Attach all the balloons to the ceiling by a net. When it's time to play the game, pull the net from the ceiling and let the balloons fall to the floor. The kids will then pop the balloons and keep the prizes they find.

* Crater Search: Before the party, wrap up prizes with aluminum foil. Hide these "craters" in a designated party area. When it's time for the game, send the kids searching for these craters. When the game is over, have them upwrap the prizes, which they get to take home with them.
