*Go on a Bug Hunt: Before the party buy a bag of small bugs and hide them in the grass and trees or in your house. Give each child a bug bag and a short stick. Tell the children that on the word “go” they must try and find as many bugs as they can and get them into their bags without touching them with their hands. The children get to keep the bugs they find. If you are using just one bugyou’re your theme hide only that particular bug.

*Gardener Relay: Make teams of 3-4 members. Need for each team: a garden trowel, seeds, and water can with water. Have kids line up with their garden items. 1st person takes the trowel and digs a small hole at the finish line and runs back leaving trowel, second person takes seed, plants it, covers it, third person runs down with water can and waters the planted see and leaves the can. Fourth person runs down and picks up everything and brings it back. Can leave off the fourth if you only have three members per team, just have each player bring back their own items.
