The Carnivals about to begin...Now pick some games to play that are fun and exciting...

But what kind of games are “fun and exciting?"

Don’t worry, I have already done the hard work and picked out the funnest games, now all you have to do is just scroll down and pick out as many games as your party allows for.

Before we get started I have listed a few survival tips to help your party run smoother:

First, make sure you select games you think your child would love and pick some back-ups, just in case. Next, setup a schedule of events before the party on which games you will play, what order and a time limit. Finally, don’t forget the “fun” factor in the party. Not every child is going to win every event, so make sure each event is designed to be “fun”, “loud” and “enjoyable”.

* Duck Catching: First, purchase as many small rubber duckies as you have guests. On one, two or three duckies, draw with a black felt tip marker, a star on the bottom. Before the party begins, fill a small “kiddie pool” with water. Next, place the duckies in the pool. Allow the children, one by one, to choose a duck from the “pond”. The children who choose ducks with stars on the bottom are the winners!!!

* Bottle Toss: Setup several glass soda bottles on a table and have the children throw rings at them. Whoever gets one around the bottle, is the winner.

* Circus Stunts: Have the party 'animals' do some circus stunts, taking turns being the ringmaster. The kids can jump through hoops, leap over jump ropes, duck under sticks, and step through tires and other obstacles while pretending to be animals.

* Carnival Games: Play carnival games using the cardboard box booths. Include such games as Ring the Soda Bottle with rings cut from tag board; Gone Fishin' with sticks, string, and magnets for fishing poles; Penny Platter with pennies tossed on a plate; and Water Gun Shooting Gallery with squirt guns to shoot small plastic bottles off a ledge.

* Face Painting: Acquire a few volunteers and have them use face paint to paint the children’s faces to look like clowns.

* Feed the Lion: Using a large cardboard box, paint a lion on the front and make a big hole for his mouth. Have the kids try to throw bean bags in the mouth. Have them keep playing until someone wins.

* Penny Toss: Get a piece of large polka dot material at the store and put that on a larger dark colored tablecloth. The children try to toss pennies onto the polka dots.

* Dart Toss: Get either 1 large or 2 small cork bulletin boards before the party. Also, fill up a lot of balloons to use at the party. At the party, let the children throw darts at the balloons and give out prizes for any popped balloons.

* Clown Bowling: Decorate 6 plastic pins to look like clowns with hats and colored buttons. To win a prize, you have to knock down the pins. For the little ones (2 & under), let them kick them or however they want to knock them down.

* Pin the Nose on the Clown: Start by tracing a clown on a large sheet of paper. Make each child a colored nose. Line the children up and send them one at a time trying to pin the nose on the clown. The closest to the “actual” nose wins!!!
